I was born in Hazard Ky in 1957 and lived in Little Leatherwood Ky. My dad, Richard Sturgill worked for Blue Diamond Coal mines. Blue Diamond Coal company headquarters was/still is Knoxville, TN. It was founded early 1910's by Alexander Bonnyman. The # 77 mine located at Delphia in Perry County, Kentucky, is operated by Blue Diamond Coal Co., a subsidiary of James River Coal Company.
